The Changchun (in Northeast China's Jilin Province) Bureau of Justice and Changchun Women's Federation recently established a women's legal-aid station. The organizations have issued rules to clarify the station's leadership, responsibilities and methods of work. A law office was appointed to offer regular services at the station, and a volunteers' team was established to provide legal aid to women.
The station helps strengthen cooperation between the bureau and the women's federation, so they can provide high-quality public legal services. The station also extends the platform for work protecting women's rights and interests by providing dispute-mediation and psychological-intervention services, in addition to legal aid and judicial assistance.
